If you have been looking for an original, correct and well maintained E30 325iS 5-speed manual, here is your car!
This particular car is a two-owner car that was bought and Sold at BMW Northwest. Its first owner traded it back in at BMW Northwest and it was purchased by the second owner in on January 5th 1994 with 55k miles. That owner has loved and cherished the car for the past 16 years. It has always been garaged and meticulously serviced by the same independent BMW only garage since then. You will note it has always been maintained per the book and with an open checkbook policy. I have a 90% complete and full service history of what has been done. The owner indicated that he is missing a few items such as tires, front brakes and a newer battery. Here is the list:

As you would expect the car runs and drives the way you would remember the E30 driving when it was new, tight, strong and the true essence of what made BMW great!
Obviously being 22 years old here are the items I have noted:
Rear muffler has a hole in it and as such is slightly louder than stock.
The coolant level sensor has been a problem since day 1. Every so often it will give a phantom reading for low coolant even though it is not low.
AC does not blow cold.
It does have a slight oil leak from the back of the motor somewhere. The shop has noted it but not repaired it. It will leave a spot the size of a dime over the period of a week or so.
The shop noted on the repair invoice that the clutch throw out bearing is going bad. I haven’t noticed any symptoms, it shifts very well, clutch engages smoothly, doesn’t slip and doesn’t make any untoward noises.
Body and Paint- The car is finished in Zinnoberrot Red and is wearing ~80% original paint. It has been garaged its entire life and has lived in the Pacific Northwest where we receive very minimal intense sunlight. As a result the paint on this car is very nice considering its age. It has good even shine, no areas of oxidation, no major scratches, dings, etc.
There is no rust on the car of any kind.
The left front fender and hood were replaced in 2005 by one of the best shops in the business after a friend backed into the car in the owner’s driveway. The repairs totaled $2385 as the owner demanded all OEM parts be used. There of course was no frame damage done or repaired. I have a copy of this invoice.
Title History- The title history on the car is of course clean. It does contain 2 errors. The first is that it shows the car as being a 1 owner car. That is because this car was purchased before record keeping was very good and they must not have caught the first sale in 1987. The second issue is that is shows that the car had 193,000 miles on it when it was emission inspected in 1997. The car in fact had 93,000 miles and this can be very well documented by an unbroken chain of records from 1994 to current. I can send a copy of this report to anyone interested.
Interior- The interior on this car is very nice. The dash is perfect and free of cracks. The door panels and headliner are likewise perfect. The carpets and mats and very clean, no wear marks or stains. The seats have the typical cracking that is common for this era BMW. These are MUCH better than the majority that I have seen. There are no actual splits, holes, etc in any of the seats, but they do pick up a sort of “patina” over the years. It has never been smoked in, carried pets or served kid duty. It is apparent that this car was very well loved.
Stereo- The previous owner was an audiophile and as such upgraded the sound system significantly. All of the work was done by Magnolia Hi-Fi, a high-end well recognized shop. Here is what was done:
Eclipse CD head unit with Sirius Satellite Radio
Diamond Audio Component Separate Speakers in factory location in the front
Diamond Audio Plates in the factory rear locations
Kenwood 5 channel amplifier
Rockford Fosgate 10’ Dual Voice-Coil Subwoofer vented through the rear deck. This is the only item that was modified as the rear deck had a 3’ vent hole cut in it. Hardly noticeable and well done.
The total cost for this setup was $2225 and it sounds amazing, crisp, clean with just enough lower end to satisfy for all types of music.
Overall this is a very well preserved, well sorted and well maintained original example.
